This brain of mine gets a little noisy - and crowded - it's a hot mess. It's like O'Hare the day before Thanksgiving. Sweaty travelers running to their gates pray that they haven't missed their connecting flights. It doesn't matter how many trams I build to connect the terminals or how many moving walkways I install...I can't seem to control the traffic. I can't calm the crowds or get them to their gates on time.

I try to appease them by putting in a pretty installation for the holidays. There are over sized ornaments and strings of lights hanging above the moving walkways. I pipe in some festive music and each terminal is well stocked with soft pretzels and fresh lattes but it's all a waste of time. Those frantic flyers don't want a pretzel, they want to get where they're going.

So maybe all I need is a couple of phone booths. A place for those weary travelers to connect with a loved one, to escape the noise and the crowds, and to remember that a missed connection is not the end of the world - another plane will taxi in soon.
